Sigmund-Thun gorge & gorge lake
A relaxed loop with a real wow factor: you start at the Siegmund-Thun gorge, where you walk for 320m on wooden walkways along the water and thundering waterfalls.
Once at the top, you reach the gorge lake, which you can walk around on an easy path. The path leads you along the water and through the forest - ideal for hot summer days. A Kneipp facility and a playground await you at the gorge lake. This tour is easy, refreshing and therefore ideal for family hikes or hikes with dogs.
Summit ascent to the Kitzsteinhorn (3,203m)
Not for the faint-hearted: The ascent to the summit of the Kitzsteinhorn takes you up to over 3,000 meters - into a world of rock, ice and real exhilaration. You can start directly at the summit station and then follow a marked trail to the summit cross. A local guide is definitely a good idea here. And the view? Breathtaking, on a clear day the horizon seems endless. This difficult tour requires experience, the right equipment and is ideally done in the summer months.
Maiskogel hut tour
This easy tour on the Maiskogel, the family mountain in Kaprun, is ideal for anyone who really wants to enjoy nature on their hike. First you take the Maiskogelbahn cable car up to 1,570m and then follow the wide paths, some of which are even suitable for baby carriages, from hut to hut. A great hike for families, with a dog or anyone who likes a more leisurely approach.
