Pure mountain bike action - the freeride trails on the Kitzsteinhorn
Real trail fun awaits you on the Kitzsteinhorn - and in three different ways: the three official freeride routes take you downhill at breakneck speed - from the alpine landscape at almost 2,500 m to the valley in Kaprun. And the best thing? The way up is really easy: the glacier lifts take you and your bike to the start in comfort.
Geißstein Trail (easy-medium)

- End point: Langwiedboden
- Flowy, beginner-friendly, but with guaranteed fun.
Wüstlau Trail (medium-difficult)
- approx. 45 minutes
- 6,49 km
- Starting point: Langwiedboden, Häuslalm
- End point: Wüstlau valley
- Technically demanding with forest floor, stones and bends.
Bachler Trail (medium)
- approx. 1 hour
- 1.91 km
- Starting point: Astenweg
- End point: Klammsee
- Natural, varied and with plenty of speed potential.
All three trails are well maintained, spectacularly scenic and offer a downhill feeling at its best.
Alternative for beginners and families: the Maiskogel Trail starts at the Maiskogelbahn mountain station and leads a leisurely 4.6 kilometers to the Maiskogel Station Stanger.
